2 Frightening Paranormal Experiences Trekkers Witnessed
Torna fort, Maharashtra
Torna fort is known for multiple instances of paranormal activities at night. Some haunted stories reveal that a group of trekkers decided to stay overnight at the deserted fort and heard loud banging on the door, asking them to open up. The sounds were of a 60-year-old man, and the bangs got louder each time. Soon after that, a lady (maushi), in a mellow voice, started calling out the trekkers by their names! Scared yet? We don't know if this was entirely true, but many trekkers who have dared to stay overnight at the fort have similar stories. Some have also seen a lady dressed in a red saree and felt tugging on their legs while they were sleeping, enough to creep them out.Â

Sudhagad Fort, Maharashtra
Sudhagad Fort, also known as Bhorapgad, this fort is situated near Khopoli village and is located within the dense forest. It's believed that in 1982-83, 7 people were killed in the fort. Though there is no specific story about how they died or who killed them, the spirits of those 7 still live in the fort and have harassed many trekkers and campers. Few have even spoken about souls entering their bodies for a while. However, there seems to be a dog who guards the trekkers and makes them alert every time the spirits are up to something.
CHALLENGE! Try to NOT get scared after reading this complete horror story.
Naggar, Himachal Pradesh - Every traveller's dream workation destination.
Clearly, we love Himachal. This is our 3rd edition, and we already mention the two Himachali hamlets you should visit. However, this 3rd place is ideal for folks who prefer working from the mountains. Here's why Naggar should be on top of your workation list!
Away from the Hustle-Bustle of Manali yet Easily Accessible: Naggar, about 35-45 mins from Manali, is easily accessible via public transport and private vehicle. Not only is it easily accessible, but there is also a minimal tourist crowd.Â
Cost-effective & Amazing Hostel Culture & Fast Internet: It is perfect for people looking for long workations. When you compare them to places like Manali, Bir, Dharamkot & other mainstream Himachali destinations, the cost is cut down in half.
A month-long stay in Flustern Hostel & Cafe will cost you around INR 18,000, which includes breakfast & dinner. Now, if you compare the same to other places and hostels, the cost of the stay itself would come to INR 18,000, excluding food. All the other hostels & homestays in Naggar are about the same range. But we love Flustern Hostel & Cafe because of the prime location, the loving hosts and the perfect community-like culture.
Apart from the stay & food, they also organize fun activities every week and take you on hidden hikes in and around Naggar. You can contact them about other packages for shorter stays and private rooms.Â
Internet is very Fast in Naggar & most of the hostels provide a power backup, both of which are must need for working from the mountains.
Off-beat Day Hikes & Notable Things To Do:
There are some beautiful short hikes and places to visit in and around Naggar. One can trek to Rumsu village & Pulag village from Naggar. The walk is about 5 kms from Naggar.
Around 10 kms from Naggar, you can also visit the Sajla waterfall and Soil village. You can find shared cabs and local buses to these places.
Other places are Naggar castle, Krishna temple, Jana forest & Tilashani forest.
These are excellent reasons Naggar should be on your bucket list.

Gorakhgad Fort - A trek in Maharashtra for all thrill seekers.
Gorakhgad trek is one of the most thrilling treks in Maharashtra in the Thane district. This trek should be on every trekker's bucket list. The hike is famous for its 360-degree views of the Sahyadri range and offers a massive, jaw-dropping 80-degree climb at the very end.
Gorakhgad is next to its twin fort Machindragad & both these forts served as surveillance for the route between Junnar & Naneghat, one of the most critical trading routes in ancient times.
You can do the trek throughout the year. If you are not an experienced trekker, you should avoid monsoons season as the rock section tends to get very slippery and requires expertise.
The Gorakhgad Trek is a strenuous and popular trek that takes place in Sahyadris, Maharashtra
Many routes can be walked, but the most famous way begins from the village of Dehari, Maharashtra.
The trail is well known for its difficulty, with many sections proving challenging even for experienced hikers.
